Celebrating the Life of Jennie Emm
Jennie (Ferro) Emm, who peacefully passed away at the age of 90 on January 17, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, is remembered for her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. Born on December 23, 1934, in Cortland, New York, to Italian immigrant parents, she cherished her roots and her faith, being actively involved in St. Francis of Assisi Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church. Jennie?s love story with her high school sweetheart, Joseph Emm, spanned over 72 years, marked by shared joys such as dancing and family gatherings. Known for her culinary skills, especially her famous meatballs and rigatoni, her home was a hub of warmth and hospitality. Jennie's community involvement included founding the Chenango Forks Football Boosters and participating in activities at Piney Point, where she spent her winters. She leaves behind her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, and many dear friends, who will treasure her memory. In her honor, a memorial mass will be held on May 31, followed by a celebration of her life, as she wished. Donations can be made to St. Jude?s Children?s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children in lieu of flowers.
